Surfing the net the other day looking for composition guides that were a bit more than the "
rule of thirds", "the golden mean" etc, etc... anyway found this set of
23 "rules" for landscape composition by one
Jonannes Vloothuis thats worth a read , its actually a guide for landscape painting, but going through it you can see how it could apply equally as well to photography both when taking the shot and in post processing.
