First born

the braces came off today , whooo hoo... "Hey dad, guess what, I ate a persimmon without having to slice it into little pieces!"  ah, the simple joys of life, so much we take for granted.

A mate of mine at the office just had their first baby a couple of weeks ago and are now going through the sleepless nights and accompanying fears and frustrations... does it ever end, sorry mate... I'm fifteen years in and I still get sleepless nights!!! in truth though I wouldn't change anything for the world, just seeing her growing up from that tiny bundle of joy into the young lady she is now, its worth it....
